COBRA MARINE VHF MR F77 EU Fixed VHF / DSC with integrated GPS to ensure that the geographical coordinates are included in DSC calls.
The Cobra Marine MR F77 EU is a fixed VHF specifically designed to offer the best security in DSC calls, thanks to an integrated GPS that avoids the problem of often sending a DSC message without GPS coordinates.
In fact, at the international level, the coast guards complain of a high reception of DSC messages not accompanied by the string relative to the geographical position. This happens because of the simple lack of interface between the on-board GPS and the VHF, or because of an improper installation, or because the GPS is faulty. The solution designed by Cobra Marine, integrating GPS inside the VHF, not only solves all these problems, but also simplifies the installation of the VHF.
The Automatic Radio Check function allows you to check the correct operation of the on-board battery, transmission power and antenna. While the Rewind Say Again function allows you to listen to a message that we were unable to hear adequately. It also includes the voice amplifier function so that you can transmit messages to the whole crew in an amplified way.
Particular attention was given to simplifying the operating procedures. The display is very large and entry into the menus is facilitated by softkeys. Furthermore, the channel caption provides a short name for each channel, in order to better understand the operating mode of the chosen channel.
NMEA IN can be used for a secondary GPS or to operate as an alarm signal. While NMEA OUT allows you to report on a plotter the vessels involved in a DSC call.
The construction has been carefully designed on a sturdy die-cast aluminum frame and the unit is "submersible" according to the IPx7 standard. The dimensions of the recess and of the bracket have not changed compared to the previous models, so it will be particularly immediate to replace the old VHF.
It is available in the black and white version.
