The VAF30 is a current analyzer for reading data relating to shore or generator current, such as Volts (from 90 to 300 VRMS), Amps (0-150 A), frequency (40-70 Hz) and kW (0-45 kW). It is possible to select an alarm for high and low voltage as well as for high and low frequency. When the alarm is activated the meter will sound an alarm at 85 dB while the display will flash.
It is possible to use the external output for the automatic shutdown of the generator or to send NMEA 0183 data at 4800 bps for voltage, absorption, frequency and absorbed power. 5 levels of backlighting are selectable and all settings are saved in a permanent memory. It comes with both transformers for current and voltage reading.
All the calibrations are carried out by the parent company but the user can modify them according to his needs. The alarm values for voltage, current and frequency can also be changed from the front panel. It is possible to view the various readings on the screen with the press of a button.
